Introduction
Hello PurpleApp user.
This is the PurpleApp documentation that will guide you through the system. From preparing necessary data, through launching the work, performing various activities, to sending data on working time to Odoo and self-invoicing.
How to use the documentation?
The documentation is divided into several parts, each of which concerns a different part of the system. In the description of each of them you will find descriptions of individual screens and explanations of the most frequently performed actions.
Due to the roles assigned to users in the system, not every screen will be visible to all system users. If access to any of the screens requires additional access rights, this has been indicated at the beginning of the screen description. In the case of actions or specific features requiring a specific role, information about this has been marked in the description of that feature.
Introduction
The first words of this documentation. The instructions that you are currently reading. General information on how to use the documentation and how its structure looks like.
If a screen or a single element requires access rights (user role) other than the standard one described below, it will be presented in such a frame.
Web app
Here you will find descriptions of all screens available in the web application. The descriptions present the system from the point of view of a standard web application user (web access role). If a screen or a particular feature requires other permissions, you will be informed.
A web app part starts with the characteristics of all screens and the dependencies between their elements, how data entered on one screen or in a mobile application will be presented on other screens, and validation on individual elements of the web part.
Next, there are descriptions of workflows, what data should be entered in what order when preparing the system for operation, how to monitor the current work of installers, how to view reports of installers' work, and how to send data necessary for invoicing.
Mobile app
In the part devoted to the mobile application, as in the section above, individual screens are described.
Description and presentation of the mobile application. If any of its aspects require access to roles other than the standard one (mobile access role), this has been marked in a specific element.
Odoo
Part of the documentation whose purpose is to present aspects related to the preparation and conduct of the invoicing process. From the basic configuration necessary for the system to operate and creating contacts representing installers, to order processing and self-invoicing.
Odoo is a separate system and access to it requires a separate login and password.
The Odoo part does not contain detailed descriptions of individual screens as is the case with the web and mobile applications. The descriptions concern only those aspects of Odoo that are necessary for the proper operation and use of Odoo and PurpleApp. We assume that you have basic knowledge of using Odoo.
The documentation for this section, like the previous ones, is divided into two parts. The first concerns the descriptions of individual screens. As mentioned above, this only applies to elements necessary for the system to operate. The second part presents the execution of individual actions.
